To all to whome these present shall come
Know ye that for divers good causes & considerations I have and do emancipate & set free my male slave named James & by these presents do emancipate and set free the said slave James hereby dischargeing him from all claims of service from me or my heirs, (?): (?) (?) or any other persons whatsoever, and giving him all the rights & privileges
confired on free negroes by the law of this commonwealth. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this eighth day of March one thousand eight hundred and ten.

This Deed of emancipation from S. Carr to James
Was produced into court and acknowledged by S Carr
Party thereto and ordered to be recorded
