I Edward Wilkinson of New Kent County do hereby set free the following slaves viz. Jack and Bob from me and my heirs & exec. or any person whatsoever under the power of civil protection as witness my hand this 18th day of February 1798.

At a Court held for New Kent County the 18th day of February 1798. This deed of emancipation was proved in open Court by the oath of John C. Morris one of the witnesses thereto subscribed and ordered to be recorded.

At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 21st day of January 1811. The within deed of emancipation from Edward Wilkinson to Bob & Jack was presented in the Court and having been proven in New Kent Court to be the act and deed of the said Wilkinson was ordered that the same be recorded.
