I give my Brother Thomas L Holloway the debt he owes me. Item. I give my Brother Charles Holloway the debt he owes me but if he thinks proper as my Sister Yancy is verry [sic] poor he might give that amount to her & by that means discharge a brotherly duty. Item. It is my wish & desire that the debt & interest which Drury Bell is owing me at my death may go to the use and support of his wife & at her death for her to give it to her daughter Sally or all of her children whichever she may think proper my Executors may take the Amt. of the said debt in property. Item. I give the debt which is on my books against Chs H Slaughter to him & in hopes he will do all that he can for his Brother Henry this is only a request. Item. I give unto Geo Holloway & his Sister son & daughter of Ro. Holloway (dec’d)all the balance of my estate both real & personal. Item. I do appoint my friends Thomas S Holloway Steven Watts and James Franklin Executors to this my last will with power to act & to do & to hear by direct that they permit my faithful servant Glaster to work for himself by giving him a pass from time to time until George S. Hollway & his Sister comes of age & do here by direct that they will permit him to act & do as I have directed my Executors to act by him. I would have given him his freedom but the Law of this State will not permit me at this time. I have two other Nancy and her child which is a Girl which I would give their freedoms if the Law of this State of Virginia would permit but nevertheless it is my desire that the said Nancy & Child be permitted to pass & repossess & work for themselves that they are not to be make or cause to be made to work for any one save themselves & that if the Laws of this State will permit that the said Nancy & child or Children shall have their freedom & if nothing else can be done in order for them to obtain there freedoms that they shall be sent in some other State which will permit them to get & obtain there freedom and if sent out of this in order to get there freedom that my Executors pay her one hundred dollars I have done much & worked much for my life for my connections therefore I am in hopes that they will do & cause to be done every thing which I have here in directed & requested. I no [sic] nothing about the laws about making Wills therefore if any thing in this my last Will & Testimony should not strictly be agreeable to Law I do hereby direct that it may be fully complyed [sic] with as if it was agreeable to Law. I am at peace with all men & do most truly forgive all those who have in any manner injured me & do hope in that God which gave me life that he will forgive & pardon my sins which I have committed in the name of God Amen.
