From motives of Humanity and Gratitude for the
faithfull service of my negro man Slave
named Andrew aged about thirty years
five feet Ten or Eleven inches high Well
formed and of dark complection [complexion] I do by
these presents in conformity to an act of
Assembly in Such cases made and Provided
Manumit Set free & liberate sd. [said] negro man
Andrew from me and my heirs forever and
I do wish all persons to permit him hereafter
to pass as a free man In Testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand & seal the
5th day of October 1807. Thomas Holt L.S. (Seal)
Harrison County Sct [scilicet] October 5th 1807.
This Manumission from Thomas Holt To Negro
Andrew was acknowledged before me by
the sd. Thomas Holt and Ordered to be recorded. M. W. Moore C.H.C. [Clerk of Harrison County]

for the County aforesaid do certify that
the above manumission from Thomas Holt to negro Andrew is Truly Transcribed
from the records of my office Given
under my hand and the Seal
of sd. Court this 17th day of November
1824 & in the 33rd year of the Commonwealth.
