To all whom it may concern knew you that I Isaac Taylor of the town of Alexandria and state of Virginia
administrator on the Estate of the Late Jesse Taylor Gent of said town & do by virtue of said administration
and for forty pounds current money paid me in hand by [blank area] the Receipt of which I do hereby
acknowledge do sett free and manumit for ever a Certain Negro man Called Bristol which the said Jesse
Taylor said bought a the sale of the Estate of the Late Adam Bloss Deceased and further the said Jesse Taylor
Gent do by these presents deliver up and make over unto the said Negro Bristol all & every Right title &
Estate to the said Jesse Taylor has had or in any way intitled to by his said administratorship also all the Right,
title & estate of the heirs[&?|assigns of the Late Jesse Taylor [Gent?] unto the said Negro Bristol - and the
same [he will ?] warrant & defend given under my hand & seal this 23 Dec[ember] 1795 Test George Darling

Memorandum - that the within mentioned Negro Bristols freedom was agreed for [on?] April 1795 - Recd at
several payments forty pounds [Cont or Curt] money Being in full for the within Agreement Dec[ember] 23

At a United States Circuit Court of the District of
Columbia continued & held by adjournment for the County
of Alexandria the 27th of March 1806
This Deed of Manumission from
Jesse Taylor to Negro Bristol was proved by the
oath of George Darling to be the act and
Deed of the said Jesse Taylor and ordered to be
certified.
[? 4th day] Jesse Taylor to Negro Bristol Manumission March Adjd Session 1806 Certif[ie]d
