{fifty Ct? Stamp?} At the request of Thomas G. Addison the following Deed of Emancipation was recorded
the 23rd day of August 1800. To all to whom these presents shall come, Be it known that I Thomas G.
Addison of Prince George County in the state of Maryland do hereby manumit liberate and set free Jenny and
her three Daughters named Lucy, Sylvia and Sue. Given under my hand and Seal this fourth day of July

Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of
William Bayly, T Hanson
Prince George's County to wit This day the above named, Thomas G. Addison personally appeared before, us
two Justices of the peace of the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above Instrument of Manumission to
be his act and deed. Given under our hands this fourth day of July 1800

I do hereby Certify that the within is a true Copy taken from the Records of Prince Georges County
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto (the same being first duly stamped) set my hand and affixed the public
seal of my office this twenty fourth day of August Eighteen hundred

Jenny, is a Dark Mulatto five feet ten Inches and an half high, about 37 years of age, Slim make, has a small
bone raised on the left rist, occasioned by the Rheumatism, two or three of her front teeth in the upper Jaw
lost.
Lucy, Daughter of Jenny is 14 years of age 5 feet 4 1/2 Inches high, Dark Mulatto, full black eyes, on the right
Cheek bone is a Scar occasioned by the Chickenpox
Sylvia, Daughter of Jenny 9 years of age about 4 feet high, Black Eyes, pitted with the Small pox, not to be
discovered unless clearly Examined.
Sue, Daughter of Jenny 5 years old between 3 & 4 feet high large Black eyes.
Hannah Elizabeth, Daughter of Jenny one year and 4 months old, a fever spot on the right shoulder, born since
the Emancipation of Jenny & her three Daughters was made
