In pursuance of the provisions of the last will and testament of Ann M Flood deceased and
bearing date on the 24th of March 1850 as the codicil thereto annexed and admitted to probate on
the 24th day of August 1851 of which I was appointed and have qualified as the executor. I do
hereby assent to the legacy of freedom bequeath in the codicil to the said last will and testament
to a man of color named Isaac, late a slave of said decedent but in virtue of said will and codicil
and of these presents now entitled to freedom. Witness the following signature and seal this 22nd
day of January 1853.

At a court held for Bedford County this 24th day of January 1853 the deed of emancipation from
Roberts C Mitchell executor of Ann M. Flood deceased to Isaac late slave of said decedent was
produced in court acknowledged by the said Mitchell and ordered to be recorded
