Know all men by these presents that I James Turner of the county of Bedford for good causes me hereunto moving ~ have manumitted emancipated and forever sal free my negroe man slave Jim and by these presents do hereby emancipate and entirely set free the said Jim from the shackles of slavery witness my hand & seal this 25th Jany 1802
