Henry Flemings Emancipation
I Benjamin Johnson of Bedford County & state of Virginia having under my care a negro boy, named Fleming Henry born 15th day 10 month 1786, and believing it not to be right to hold in bondage any of my fellow creatures do hereby for my self, my Heirs Executors administrators or assigns give up all claim property or title unto him the said Fleming Henry after he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, which will be the 15th day of 10th month 1817 after which time I do herby relinquish all my right interest or claim whatsoever as to his person or to any estate he may thereafter acquire without any interruption from me or any person claiming for by or under and in witness is herby I have haveunto to my hand and affixed my seal this 27th October 1800.
