Know all men by these presents that I William H Langhorne of the town of Lynchburg, as well from motives
of benevolence, as for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and six dollars in hand paid by Daniel
A. Wilson jr the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged, do hereby agree and bind myself my heirs
executors and administrators to manumit and set free from slavery my negro woman named Julia aged about
thirty eight years together with her children if any she shall ever have, when she shall ask request or require
me so to do, And I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to give grant and release unto
the said Julia and her children as aforesaid and all her future increase all my right title and claim of, in, and to
her person labor and services and to the persons labours and services of her children as aforesaid, and of, in,
and to, all the estate and property which she or they may thereafter acquire or obtain whenever she the said
Julia shall ask request or require the same to be done. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand, and
affixed my seal, this 29th day of December 1850.

Witness - In the clerks office of the Court of the Corporation of Lynchburg January 4th 1851. This deed was
acknowledged before the clerk by William H. Langhorne, party grantor thereto, and thereupon admitted to
record.
