Know all men by these presents, that, I, John Miller of the
Town of Lynchburg, for divers good causes and considerations, me
thereunto moving, have released, set free and emancipated, and
by these presents do release, set free, and freely emancipate, my
mulatto man Isaac Salmons, formerly a slave of mine.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal, this 4 day of Octob 1841.

At a Court of Hustings held for the Corporation of Lynchburg at the Court
house Monday the [blank] day of October 1841
A deed of emancipation from John Miller to Isaac Salmons
was this day acknowledged by said Miller in open Court and ordered to to be recorded
