I Micajah Moorman of Campbell County Virginia from Mature deliberate Consideration of the Convictions of
my Own Mind feeling fully persuad'd that freedom is the Natural Right of all mankind and that no law morrall
[moral] or divine has given me a Right to or property in the persons of any our Fellow Creatures and being
desireous to fulfill the injunctions of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ by doing unto those as I would be done
by do declare therefore that haveing under my care a Negroe Man Named Ben Aged about 45 years also a
Negroe Woman aged about thirty five named Betty a Negroe Woman also named Winney aged about
Eighteen years. I do hereby for my self my heirs Exrs. [Executors] do Emancipate & sett free the above
named negroes & do Relinquish all my Right Interest & Claim or Pretention of Claim whatsoever as to their
persons or to any Estate they may hereafter Acquire without any Interruption from me or any person claiming
for by or Under me In witness where of I have hereunto sett my hand & Seal this Sixth day of the fifth month
in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred & Eighty four.

Micajah Mooreman Party thereto; and Ordered to be Recorded.
