I Christopher Johnson of Campbell County being full persuaded that freedom is the natural right
of all mankind and that it is my duty to do to others as I would desire to be done by in the like
situation and having under my care five negroes names and ages as followeth Jenny aged fifty
six years , Luccy aged fifty six years Charles Napper aged forty three years, Hannah thirty six
Allen Ginney thirty nine. I do here by Immancipate and sett free the above named slaves and I do
for my self my heirs Executors Administrators relinquish all my right Title Interest and claim or
pretention of claim whatsoever Either to their persons or to any estate they may hereafter
acquire. And having also seven negroes more in their minority under my care of the following
names and ages whom I also Immancipate and sett free and I do for myself my heirs Executors
Administrators relinquish all my right Title Interest and on claim or pretention of claim whatever
Either to their persons or to any estate they may acquire after they shall arrive to the age of
Twenty one or Eighteen years their names and ages as followeth Milley sixteen years and nine
months Pegey thirteen years and four months Robert eleven years and nine months Lucy seven
years and nine months Mary five years and seven months Penelope three years and seven
months Charles nine months, when the said negroes and their posterity are to Enjoy their
freedom in as ample and full a manner as if the had been born of free Parents without any
interruption from me or any person claiming for by or under me. In witness whereof I have
hereunto to set my hand and seal this the third day of the tenth month 1782,

recorded.
