I William Davis of Campbell County being full persuaded that freedom is the natural right of all
Mankind and that it is my duty to do to others as I would Desire they would do unto me in the
like situation and having under my care a negroe boy named Adam Eller aged about Seventeen
years and five months and I do for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators Elinquish all
my rights Title Interest and claim or pretention of claim whatsoever Either to his person or to
any estate he may acquire after he doth arrive to the age of Twenty one years. In writings
whereof I have hereunto to set my hand and seal this the third day of the tenth month 1782,

At a court held for Campbell County October 3 1782This Manumission was acknowledged by William Davis party thereto and ordered to be
recorded.
