I Christopher Anthony of Campbell County being fully persuaded that freedom is the natural
right of all mankind and that it is my duty to do unto others as I would desire to be done by in the
like situation and having under my care two negroes names and ages as followeth Jefry Joiner
aged Twenty two Aneky aged Twenty five years. I do hereby emancipate and set free the above
named slaves and I do for myself my heirs Executors Administrators relinquish all my rights
Title Interest and claim or pretention of claim whatsoever Either to their persons or any estate
They may hereafter acquire and having also under my care three negroes in their minority of the
following names and ages Rachel aged seven years and six months, Morris four years and two
months, Robert one year and three months whom I do also Emancipate and set free and I do for
myself my heirs
Executors Administrators relinquish all my right title Interest and claim or pretentions of claim
whatsoever either to their persons or to any Estate they may acquire after they shall attain the age
of Twenty one or Eighteen years. When the said negroes and their posterity are to Enjoy their
freedom in as full and ample a manner as if they had been born of free Parents without any
interruption from me or any person claiming for by or under me in Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of the Tenth month 1782Christopher Anthony seal
At a court held for Campbell County October 3 1782This Manumission was acknowledged by Christopher Anthony Party thereto, and ordered to be
recorded.
