I William Johnson of Campbell County being full persuaded that freedom is the natural right of
all mankind and that it is my duty to do to others as I would desire to be done by in the like
situation and having under my care one negroe man named Harry aged forty to whom I do here
by Emancipate and set free and I do for myself my heirs Executors Administrators relinquish all
my right Title Interest and claim or pretention of claim whatsoever Either to his person or to any
estate he may hereafter acquire. And having also under my care one that is now in his minority
named David aged seven years and six months whom I also do Emancipate and set free and I
also do for myself my heirs Executors Administrators relinquish all my rights Title Interest and
on claim or pretention of claim whatever Either to their persons or to any estate he may acquire
after after he shall arrive to the age of Twenty one when he the said David shall enjoy his
freedom in as ample and full a manner as if he had been born of free Parents without any
interruption from me or any person claiming for by or under me. In witness whereof I have
hereunto to set my hand and seal this the fifth day of the 9th month 1782,

recorded.
