I David Terrell of Campbell County being fully Persuaded
that freedom is the natural right of al mankind
& that it is my duty to do unto others as I wou'd [would] be done
by in the Like Situation, And having under my care
four Negroes Named as followeth. Nan aged
forty four. Polley Twenty six, whom I do hereby Immancipate [emancipate]
and sett [set] free the above nam'd [named] slaves, and do for
my self, my heirs, Executers Administraters Relinquish
all my right, Title Interest and claim or
Pretention of Claim whatsoever, either to their persons
or to any Estate they may hereafter acquire.
And having two more under my care in their Minority of the following Names and ages. Dick five
Lucy 1. whom I also Immancipate and sett free
and do for my self my heirs Executers Administraters
Relinquish all my Right title Interest and
claim or pretence of claim whatsoever, Eithor [Either] to
their Persons or to any Estate they may acquire after
they shall attain to the age Twenty one or Eighteen
years, when the said Negros and their posterity are
to Injoy [enjoy] their freedom in as full and ample manner
as if they had been born of free Parents, without any
any Interruption from me or any person or by or
under me. In Witness whereof I have k
hereunto sett my hand and seal, this 5th day of the 9th mo [month] 1782.

by David Terrill party thereto and Ordered to be Recorded.
