Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Neill of the
County of Frederick and Commonwealth of Virginia for good
& causes and considerations me thereunto moving have
emancipated and set at liberty and by these presents do
emancipate and set at Liberty the following Slaves
that is to say Daniel also Susanna and Rachael
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
Seal this eighth day of October in the year of our Lord
One thousand seven hundred and ninety four.
Sealed & Delivered
In the presence of } Joseph Neill (LS).
At a Court Continued and held for Frederick County the 8th
day of October 1794.
This deed was Acknowledged by Joseph
Neill party thereto and Ordered to be Recorded. And it is
Ordered to be Certified that Susanna and Rachael therein
named are within the age of eighteen and forty five
years and of sound body and mind.
By the Court.
