To all persons to whom these presents shall come I Robert Cochrane of Frederick County send
greeting know ye that for a certain good cause and considerations me hereunto moving I
have and by these presents do discharge Harry a Negro fellow which I some time
ago purchased from Samuel May from any further Service as my slave and I do
declare him to be free and discharged from all servitude or bondage which I my heirs Executors
or administrators might or could claim from him. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this 19th day of November 1791

At a Court continued and held for Frederick Sounty the 6th day of February 1794
This Instrument of writing purporting the Emancipation of Negro Henry was proved
by the oaths of John Peyton Angus McDonald & James Gibbs witnesses thereto and ord-
ered to be recorded and It is ordered to be certified that the said Henry is upwar-
ds of forty five years old and is disabled in one of his arms
