To all persons to whom these presents shall come I Andrew
Longacre of Frederick County Virginia send Greeting Know ye
that from a Charitable and Christian Motive and for Divers
other Good Causes and Considerations Specially Moving me have
Manumeted freed released Discharged and by these presents
do Manumitt free Release and Discharge my Negroe Girl
she being near Seventeen years of Age Named Denice at my Decease
from all Maner of Slavery Bondage and service of Slavery
and duly of Servitude hereafter to Accrue or to be done or Demanded
by me my heirs Executors or Administrators by any law Usage
or Custom and all our right Title Interest and properly claim
and Demand of in or to the same Negroe as above named or
Any of her offspring should she have any longer than they shall
arrive if males to the Age of twenty one years if Females at
eighteen years old forever as fully freed and Absolutely as
I the said Andrew Longacre may might or could have held
and enjoyed her or her ofs'ring by any means Whatsoever In
Witness whereof we have hereunto set my hand and Seal this
thirteenth day of the Second Month in the Year of our Lord
One Thousand seven hundred and Eighty three 1783

At a Court held for Frederick County the 2nd day of October 1787 this Instrucment of Writing was proved by the oaths of Robert Holmes and Jonathan Lupton two of the Witnesses thereto and the same being examined and approved is ordered to be Recorded.
