This deed made this 17th day of January 1859 between John D. DeBell of the one part and Richard Fairfax of the other part, witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of good and sufficient consideration, him thereunto moving, and the further consideration of one dollar, does grant, bargain, and sell, and forever manumit and set free the said Richard Fairfax, hereby releasing him the said Richard Fairfax from all claim of him, the said party of the first part, and of all persons claiming under him. Witness the following signature and seal.
