I David Belgold of Alexandria County in the State of Virginia being of sound mind and memory do hereby make my last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit:
First, I give and bequeath to my only child Louisa Catharine Lieberman the wife of Dr. Charles Henry Lieberman of Washington City, the whole estate, seal personal and mixed, of which I may die seized and possessed, she the said S. Catharine Lieberman to collect use and enjoy all the revenues and income thereof during her natural life and after her death, I give and bequeath the said estate to her children (my grandchildren) and their heirs and assigus forever, to be equally divided among them, and..
Secondly, I hereby ordain that no part or parcel of the real estate thus devised shall be alienated or sold until my said grandchildren shall have become of age, and then only by and with their express consent, but I will and thereby prevent my daughter S. Catharine Lieberman to apply a part or the whole of the personal estate, if necessary, to the improvement of the real estate thus devised to her and her children, if by so doing the aggregate amount of the whole estate and its productiveness can be materially increased. And I furthermore invest hereby my said daughter S. Catharine Lieberman with power to devise the estate derived from me by her last will to her children in such manner and with such further provision s and restrictions as she may deem best calculated to promote their individual interest and welfare, I hereby particularly enjoin on my said daughter S. Catharine not to sell my slave girl Sarah Grey on any account and if she have no use for her service, either to manumit her or procure for her employment with such person as will treat her humanely and kindly.
Lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint my said daughter S. Catharine Liberman and David Appick of Alexandria executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of June 1855.

I make this codicil to my annexed will. I revoke so much of my foregoing will as bequeathed to my daughter S. Catharine Lieberman my slave girl Sarah Grey and hereby emancipate her and her issue at once and direct my executors to pay her upon the probate of my will twenty dollars to take her and her issue beyond the limits of Virginia.

At a court of monthly sessions held for the county of Fairfax at the courthouse thereof on Monday the 18th day of January 1858. This last will and testament and codicil thereto attached was this day presented to the court, and this will being proved by the oaths of David Appick, Gottlieb Appick, and George A. Bossact, subscribing witnesses thereto and the codicil by the oaths of David Appick and George A. Bossact, subscribing witnesses thereto, the same are admitted to probate and ordered to be recorded.
