Know all men by these presents that I Josiah Watson of the Town of Alexandria for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have emancipated and set free, and by these presents do emancipate my negro woman Suky and her three children Jane, Delia, and Betsy; and do fully and entirely discharge them and each of them from all further service to me, my heirs, executors, and administrators. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth day of February 1796.

At a court held for Fairfax County 15th February 1796 Josiah Watson acknowledged this deed of manumission to negro Sukey and her three children Jane, Delia, & Betsey, to be his act and deed which is ordered to be recorded.
