I John Easter of the County of Brunswick do by these presents freely and
voluntarily Emancipate and set at full liberty from myself my heirs and
and all persons claiming under me all my right & title to my Negro
Woman Lucy and her Child Nancy Brown from and after the first day
of January one thousand Seven Hundred and ninety Eight as witness
my Hand and Seal this Twenty third day of October one Thousand
