In the name of God amen. I Giles Kelly of
Brunswick County being sick and weak but of sound mind and
memory, blessed be God, do this 19th Day of December in the
year of our Lord Christ 1785 make and publish my last Will &
Testament in manner and form following, to wit, It is my will &
Desire that my Negro woman Slave Fanny after my Death be free
and do hereby emancipate and discharge the said Fanny of &
from all service to me and my heirs forever. I Give and bequeath
unto my son Samuel Kelly the Land whereon I now live containing
one hundred and fifty Acres including also the Plantation whereon
the said Samuel now liveth to him and his heirs forever. And
also one negro man Slave named Soloman, on condition that he
pay unto my son William Kelly (if ever he shall appear to demand it)
the sum of fifty pounds Specie, and then the said Soloman to the
said Samuel and his heirs forever. And I Give unto my son
James Kelly one negro boy Slave named Ellick, on condition that he
pay unto my son Giles Kelly the sum of twenty pounds Specie
to him the said James Kelly and his heirs forever. And as to all
the rest of my Estate my Will is that it be equally divided amongst
all my Children. And I do appoint my sons James Kelly & Samuel
Kelly and my soninlaw Joseph Browder the Executors of this
my Will, hereby revoking all other Will or Wills by me made and declaring this
to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and affixed my Seal this Day and year above written.

Robert Lucy This Will was proved by the oaths of Joshua
His mark X Lucy & Robert Lucy two of the witnesses thereto
and Ordered to be Recorded. And on the motion of James & Samuel
Kelly two of the Executors therein named & they having given Bond with
Security and taken the oath according to Law Certificate is granted them
for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
