Know all men by these presents that I Richard Booll of the County of Northampton and State of Virginia do hereby manumit negro Jude to be free on the first day of January 1805, and grant her all the privileges of a free citizen of this Commonwealth agreeable to an Act of Assembly for the manumission of slaves disclaiming all right, title, and demand from me, my heirs, Executors, &c to, or for her after the above period to her assigned. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of October 1797.

At a court held for Northampton County the 9th day of October 1797. This deed of manumission was acknowledged by Richard Booll party thereto to be his act & deed and ordered to be recorded.
