We Elizabeth Denson and Anne Denson of Southampton County Virginia having under our care a Negro woman named Abb aged about twenty five years whoom we have heretofore held as a Slave, but being fully pursuaded that freedom is the natural right of all mankind And that it is our Duty to unto others as we would deserve to be done by, do therefore hereby Emancipate and set the said Negro free, and we do for ourselves, our heirs Executors Administrators, hereby Relinquish all our rights, Title interest and Claim or pretention of Claim whatsoever either to her Person or to any Estate she may hereafter acquire, and having also Two who are now in their Minority (to wit) a Girl named Esther aged about four years, and a boy named Daniel of about two old, Both of which we hereby emancipate and set free saveing to ourselves & each our Heirs and assigns the Care and the Direction of the said Esther
Esther untill she attains to the age of Eighteen years and of the said Daniel untiil he arrives to the age of Twenty one years, And we do for our selves our Heirs Exo'rs and administrators Hereby relinquish all our right Title Interest and Claim or pretension of claim Whatsoever either to their persons or to Any Estate They shall acquire after they arrive to the full and Lawfull Ages aforesaid, all the above said Negroes and their Posterity to Enjoy their full --- Freedom Without any Interruption from us or Either of us our heirs or assigns or any other, person Claiming for by or under us. In Writings whereof we have Hereunto set our hands and Seals this 1st Day of the Twelft Month in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred eighty and two---

This Emancipation was proved By the affirmation of Thomas Draper and Ephraim Draper the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded--
