To all to whom these presents shall come. Know ye that I Michael Wallace Senior of King George County and State of Virginia, for divers good causes me thereunto moving, have this day emancipated and set free, and by these presents do fully and absolutely emancipate and set free a certain negro woman named Clara Ferrell, aged about forty years, and do hereby covenant and agree that the said Clara Ferrell shall henceforth enjoy all the rights and privileges which by the laws of this Commonwealth free negroes are permitted to enjoy and exercise. Given under my hand & seal the sixth day of November in the year eighteen hundred.

At a court of quarterly sessions, held for King Geo. County the 6th day of November 1806. This deed of emancipation from under the hand and seal of Michael Wallace to Clara Ferrell was this day presented into court, acknowledged by said Michael Wallace, and ordered to be recorded.
