In the name of God Amen. I Ann Rowley of King George County being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind & memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
Imprimis I give, devise and bequeath to my relation John Minor one negro boy named Thornton to him and his heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my friend, William Minor, all my work steers to him and his heirs forever. Likewise, I give him two negroes namely James and Lucy during my brother William Grigsby’s natural life and at his death it is my desire that they both be set free.
Item I give and bequeath to my sister Margaret Foster one negro girl named Pat during her natural life, and at her death it is my desire that her daughter Lettice should have her.
Item I give and bequeath to my niece Lettice Monday one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever. Likewise I give her one half of my wearing apparel and the other half to her daughter Ann Minor.
Item I give and bequeath to my relation Margaret Cleft one cow and calf to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my relation Ann Minor one large Bible to her and her heirs forever.
Item It is my desire that the rest of my estate be sold for the purpose of paying my just debts and the balance to be equally divided between Lettice Monday’s children except Ann and Margaret.
Lastly I do constitute and appoint my friend William Minor the whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of September 1793.

At a court held for King George County the second day of January 1794
The last will and testament of Ann Rowley dec’d as foregoing was presented into court by William Minor the Executor therein named who made oath thereto according to law and being further proved by the oath of the witnesses thereto is ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of the said Executor certificate is granted him for obtaining probate thereof in due form having first performed what the law in such cases required.
