Whereas Miss Mary Watson who died in the county of Middlesex made a will by which she emancipated her three slaves Peter, Jenny, and Jack, and after the death of James Ross who qualified as her Exor, Robert Healy qualified as admor de bonis non of said Mary and a suit was brought in the Superior Court Chancery at Williamsburg by the three said slaves who have taken the name of their late witness and liberator against the said Robert Healy admor de bonis non of said Mary Watson and in that suit a decree has been pronounced at office copy of which is hereto annexed nor for and in pursuance of said decreed the said Robert Healy admor de bonis non of Mary Watson has set free and emancipated and does by these presents emancipate and discharge from servitude and forever set free and at liberty the said Peter surnamed Watson and the said Jenny named Watson and the said Jack child of Peter and Jenny to be henceforth free from the control and demand of all persons whatever. And by these same presents the said Robert Healy admor with the will annexed de bonis non admor of said Mary Watson does forever discharge the three aforesaid persons Peter, Jenny and Jack from the claims of all persons who claim under and through the said Mary Watson.
In testimony whereof the said Robert Healy has hereto set his hand and affixed his seal this 23rd day of June 1828.

Rec’d of Ro. Healy admor de bonis non with the will annexed of Mary Watson the balance of five dollars and eighty seven and a half cents in full discharge of the decree of the Chancery court and in full for his admor on the estate of Mary Watson.
Rec’d of Ro. Healy admor de bonis non sixteen dollars and sixty six cents for defending him at the suit of Peter Watson and others vs him as admor de bonis non of Mary Watson.

Middlesex Clerk’s office June 23rd 1828 This day personally came before me in my office Robert Healy acknowledged this writing to be his act and deed and desired the same to be certified to the county court to be recorded.

This deed having been acknowledged and certified to this court is now ordered to be recorded.
