Know all men by these presents that I Wm. George of Lancaster & state of Virginia for sundry good Reasons me here unto moving do by this Instrument emancipate Enfranchise and free any Negro man many about the age of fifty five years, _ and after the Execution of this Instrument of writing Renounce all claim of Service from and of Property in him from me my Heirs Exor or admin for ever signed sealed this 17th January one thousand seven Hundred & Ninety Eight
