Know all men by these presents that I Robert Page Waller Executor of Benjamin Curtis Waller, have according to the requisitions of the said Benjamin Curtis Waller’s will manumitted, emancipated and set free, and by these presents do manumit and set free a negro man named Henry Smith who was set free by the will of Benjamin C. Waller as soon as he should arrive at the age of twenty eight years, and I as executor aforesaid hereby declare him the said Henry Smith to be entirely liberated from slavery and entitled to all the rights and privileges of a free person with which it is in my power to vest him. He the said Henry hereby emancipated is a man of yellow complexion about five feet eight or nine inches. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 9th day of November eighteen hundred and forty.

This deed of emancipation was proved by the oaths of Corbin G. Waller and William Waller the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
