I Samuel Jordan Harrison do emancipate and set free one negro man named Edward Taylor aged about twenty five years. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of the third month one thousand seven hundred and ninety two.

At a court held for York county the 16th day of April 1792. This deed of emancipation was proved by the affirmation of Benjamin Bates and William Harrison (being Quakers) the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
