I William Harrison of York County Virginia having under my case a negro woman named Hannah, aged forty three years whom I do emancipate and set free. Likewise a negro girl named Bridget aged sixteen years whom I do also emancipate and set free after she shall arrive to the age of eighteen years. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of the fifty month one thousand seven hundred and eighty three.

At a court held for York County the 16th day of June 1783. These letters of emancipation from William Harison liberating Hannah and Bridget the slaves within mentioned was proved by the affirmation of Benjamin Bates & Edward Bates the witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
