Know all men by these presents that I Robert Patton of the town of Fredericksburg and County of Spotsylvania for me, my heirs, Executors and Administrators, have emancipated, manumitted and set free, and by these presents do emancipate, manumit, set free and discharge from all service for me, a negro man slave named Bob purchased by me of Sarah Thompson. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 7th day of April 1806.
