Know all men by these presents that I Robert Patton of the town of Fredericksburg and County of Spotsylvania have manumitted, emancipated and set free my negro woman Lucy, and by these presents for me, my heirs, Executors, and Administrators do manumit, emancipate and set free the said negro woman Lucy and her future increase from slavery. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of March 1806.
