Know all men by these presents that we Edward Herndon and William Waller, Executors of Thomas Colson dec’d, in conformity to his will, we do hereby emancipate & set free three negroes belonging to his estate viz. Tom, his wife Rachel, and Frederick. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this sixth day of December 1805.

This letter of emancipation was acknowledged by the said Edward Herndon and William Waller, Executors of Thomas Colson dec’d & ordered to be recorded.
