Know all men by these presents, that I, Isaac Vermillion of the County of Russell and State of Virginia do hereby liberate, emancipate and forever set free from myself and heirs, from and after the 1st day of November 1855, a negro woman Slave named Celia aged about thirty one years, of very black complexion, who was conveyed to me and put in my possession by my grand-mother Mary Vermillion. Witness my hand and Seal this 6th day of October 1851.

This deed of Emancipation from Isaac Vermillion to his slave Celia was acknowledged before me in the Clerks office of Russell County on the 6th of October 1851 by the said Isaac Vermillion to be his act and deed, and admitted to record.
