This Indenture made this 16th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and fifty one between Elizabeth Justice of the one part, widow of John Justice deceased, and Richard, Petter, Moses, Douglass, Hannah, Katy, Jinny, Betty, Siller, Paton, Henry, Simpson and Clarinda, slaves of the said Elizabeth Justice in whom she holds a life estate under the will of her husband John Justice, of the other part, Witnesseth, That the said Elizabeth Justice doth hereby manumit, liberate and forever set free the said slaves aforesaid, to take effect from and after the date of this Indenture. Given under my hand and seal this day and year first above written.

This Deed of Emancipation from Elizabeth Justice to Richard & others, whose names are set forth therein, was acknowledged before me in the Clerks Office of Russell County on the 16th day of January 1851 by the said Elizabeth Justice, and admitted to record.
