16th I will and bequeath to my female slave Seanna, her freedom at my death, and desire the County Court of Scott to permit her to remain as a free person of color in this Commonwealth in consequence of her extraordinary merit, in reason whereof I have emancipated her.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 17th day of April in the year of Christ 1847.

The last will and testament of Jonathan Wood deceased was proved by the oaths of John D. Sharp & Charles S. Bekens[?] witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
