Scott County and State of Virginia July the 5th 1828, according to promise on the 10th day of June last. I do Emancipate and set at Liberty my coloured girl Jane after she serving me ten years from the 10th day of June 1828, for the true performance of the same I bind myself my heirs and assigns forever and further bind them to give her comfortable clothing board and bedding and learn her to read or give her reasonable opportunity to learn the same and fiver her one good suit of cloths at the expiration of said time. In Witness I set my hand and affix my seal the day and year above written.
