Know all men by these presents that I Wm R Denny have this day sold to Henry Kinzell for and in consideration of three hundred and fifty dollars viz; three hundred dollars in money and fifty dollars to be taken out in his store – a mulatto boy named Reese aged 16 years on the 14th day of February 1862 – said boy Reese to serve until he is twenty seven years old where he is free which period arrives the 14th day of February 1873. And on the 14th day of February 1873 said boy Reese is to be manumitted by said Kinzell his heirs or assignees.
