Item. I give and bequeath unto my nephew Robert R. Branch a negro woman named Rachel to him and his heirs and assigns forever. I also give and bequeath to my said nephew Rob’t R. Branch one negro boy by the name of James until the said boy James arrives to the age of twenty one years, then at that time my will and desire is that the said boy James be emancipated and have his freedom. But if my nephew Robert R. Branch should die before he arrives to the age of twenty one years, then the above negroes bequeathed to my said nephew Rob’t R. Branch to descend unto my nephew Aaron H. Branch to him his heirs and assigns forever. And if neither of my said nephews should live to arrive to the age of twenty one years, then and in that case the above bequeath negroes to descend to the children of my sister Marthah Lacey that shall be then living to be equally divided among them, to them their heirs and assigns forever. But in any event the above named boy James is to be emancipated, at the age of twenty one years.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my two nephews Aaron H. Branch and Rob’t R. Branch when they arrive to the age of twenty one years one hundred dollars each to them their heirs and assigns forever.
Lastly I do ordain and appoint my father Aaron Haskins whole and sole executor of this my last will & testament.
