This indenture made and entered into this twenty eighth day of July in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and three. Witnesseth that I Cornelius Buck of the town of Manchester for divers good causes appearing unto me as well as for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. I the said Cornelius Buck have and by these presents do emancipate and forever set free a negro woman by the name of Patty. In testimony whereof I the said Cornelius Buck have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this day and year above written.

This deed of emancipation from Cornelius Buck to negro Patty was acknowledged by said Buck and ordered to be recorded.
