This deed made this 4th day of November 1851 between Mary McDannald of the one part and Emanuel Bond a negro slave the property of said Mary McDannald for and in consideration of the promise of the said Emanuel to leave the Commonwealth of Virginia and for the further consideration of one dollar to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth forever warrant emancipate and set free the said Emmanuel Bond from the service of her the said Mary McDannald and her heirs and assigus. Witness the following signature & seal.
