I Arther Lee of the County of Allegany and State of Virginia do by these presents emancipate and set free my daughter Elizabeth Lee (recently married to Charles Mylord for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid and the further consideration of the relationship which she bears to me, do emancipate her forever and I do hereby manumit and defend her right and title against all other claims whatever. Given under my hand and seal this ninth day of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty one.

This deed of emancipation from Arther Lee to his daughter Elizabeth was this day presented in the office and acknowledged by the said Arther Lee to be his act & deed and the same is entitled to record.
