Text of Freedom Document
I Catharine Musser think proper to make my will. I do hereby emancipate and set free from and after the time of my decease my negro man Reuben mentioned in the will of my late husband Peter Musser. I devise to the said Reuben the lot he has purchased in Mount Airy, his horse saddle bridle and bed, his tools and all the removable articles which are called his property. All the residue of my estate is to pass and go as the law directs. I appoint Henry Huddle and Michael Steffy executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of May 1846.
