Know all men by these presents that I John Caddall of the County of Pulaski and State of Virginia have manumitted and set free my negro man slave named Jupiter. Witness my hand and seal this 18th day of October 1858.

Virginia: In the Clerks Office of Pulaski County the 18th day of October 1858. This deed of emancipation from John Caddall to Jupiter dated the 18th day of October 1858 was presented in said office, acknowledged by the said John Caddall to be his act and deed and admitted to record.
