It is my request after my death that my dear father have the use of all my property as long as he lives with the understanding that none of it is to be sold after his death. I wish my servants set free all, except Cornelia which I lent to brother John D Arnold. I wish her to go to the benefit of his children and he to have charge of her until they come of age.
Nancy Askin

It is my request after my death that all my servants (or slaves) be set free, but if the laws of our Country will not permit them let my dear old father have the use of them as long as he lives, with the understanding that they are not to be sold, out of the family, after my debts are paid. I want all I leave to be equally divided between my brothers and sisters.
Nancy Askin
