I, Nancy Davis of the County of Prince Edward do make this my last will and testament. I direct my executor to sell my whole estate, except my slave Robert, consisting of crops, stock & furniture, I having sold my right to the land on which I live, except my right to the same during my life, to Branch J. Worsham & he having paid for the same the said sale is confirmed. I direct my debts to be paid out of the funds in the hands of my Executor. I emancipate and set free my slave Robert and give him thirty dollars. After the payment of my debts and the legacy to Robert I give the whole of the balance of my estate to my relation Polly Throckmorton, formerly Polly Davis to her and her heirs forever. I appoint Branch J. Worsham executor of this my will. Witness my hand and seal this 25th day of October 1854.

At a court held for Prince Edward County April the 16th 1860.
This last will and testament of Nancy Davis dec’d with a acknowledgement of the same, was presented in court and proved by the oaths of B.J. Worsham and Joseph A. Watson two witnesses thereto, ordered that the same be recorded.
